MAAA Wingspan

22 Since our last report Concorde has progressed despite the hiatus in our activities caused by the corona virus and have gained some new members. The construction of our toilet block has commenced and when I first saw the completed framework I was impressed by the workmanship, no half measures here. The finance for this venture was achieved via donations but the greatest gifts were and are the tremendous amount of time, skill and effort put in by our members in the design and construction. The toilet will sport three sections being two separate cubicles and a larger section for a disabled toilet with wash basin and a shower. The two smaller cubicles will have one external wash basin. The roof cladding will have two clear panels for internal illumination and with plumbing installed in the cavity the interior will be clad. We have installed a weather station with the support of “Smart Home Direct”, and will allow members to see access the information at our field via the internet. Our area is looking particularly smart and the strip is in fine fettle making takeoff and landing pleasurable so there is exuberance evident in our club spirit even though the current health crisis is a worry. In these uncertain times may we extend to our Sister clubs greetings and best wishes. Weather Station.
