MESSAGE

THE F1 AIR RACE SANDOWN,

THE WORLD CHAMPS IN WA,

AND ONE OF THE BIGGEST RC

SCALE FESTIVALS OF ITS KIND IN

AUSTRALIA ARE JUST A FEW OF

THE HIGHLIGHTS ON THE MAAA

CALENDAR FOR 2016

2016 is shaping up to be another huge year for the MAAA.

We started the year with a bang, promoting our sport at the

F1 Air Race Sandown 2016. Following this, the 2016 F2 World

Championships for Control Line Model Aircraft will be held in

Western Australia.

Across the country the MAAA supports clubs to ensure people

have a safe place to learn to fly and enjoy their sport.

This year, the MAAA is the major sponsor for the Luskintyre

RC Scale Festival. We will provide $20 000 in sponsorship and

marketing support for the event. The festival will be one of the

biggest displays of scale model aircraft ever held in NSW and

Australia.

The MAAA is the largest aeromodelling organisation in Australia

and encourages and supports Australians to enjoy aeromodelling

in a safe and fun environment. There are more than 300 MAAA

clubs and 11,000 members across the country. It is the combined

strength of these member clubs and members which enables

us to promote and support aeromodelling throughout Australia,

“aeromodellers working for aeromodellers”. Every state has a

representative on the MAAA.

A MAAA club is the perfect place to learn to fly and you can find a

club near you at
